interest的用法：
一、作名詞的用法：
1、interest用作名詞的基本意思是“興趣”，指對(duì)某種事物的愛好，也可指感興趣的事，既可用作可數(shù)名詞,也可用作不可數(shù)名詞。interest也可表示“趣味，引起注意之性質(zhì)”，是不可數(shù)名詞，其后常接介詞in。
2、interest也可作“愛好，嗜好”“利益”解，是可數(shù)名詞。作“利益”解時(shí)常用復(fù)數(shù)形式。interest還可作“利息”解，是不可數(shù)名詞。interest還可表示“所有權(quán)”“股份”，可用于單數(shù)形式，也可用于復(fù)數(shù)形式。
二、作動(dòng)詞的用法：
1、interest的基本意思是“使某人產(chǎn)生興趣”，還可作“引起…的意愿”解，其主語可以是人，也可以是物或事。interest是及物動(dòng)詞，接名詞或代詞作賓語。動(dòng)詞賓語為sb 時(shí)，表示“使(某人)對(duì)…感興趣”，動(dòng)詞賓語為oneself時(shí)，表示主語本身“對(duì)…感興趣”。
2、interest后常接in，表示“對(duì)…感興趣”。interest的過去分詞interested和現(xiàn)在分詞interesting都可用作形容詞，在句中作表語或定語。
3、in the interest(s) of truth指“為了真理”，in the interest(s) of peace指“為了和平”，interest后的s可選擇加或不加;
4、interest后面用的介詞不同，意思就會(huì)不同。
例如：
(1)I have (take) no interest in this subject.
這里interest指感覺。
(2)This subject has no interest for me.
這的interest指引起這種感覺的特質(zhì)。
(3)I study this subject with great interest.
句中with...interest為狀語短語，interest指興趣。
(4)This subject is of great interest to me.
句中of...interest是形容詞短語，interest指引起興趣的的特質(zhì)。
